Our Mission
Nurturing the whole child
At Future Kids LA, we believe that the earliest years of a child's life are the most formative. Our Montessori-inspired approach creates an environment where curiosity is celebrated, independence is encouraged, and every child feels safe to explore, make mistakes, and discover who they are.
We partner closely with families — because great early childhood education is a team effort. From your child's first day to their last before kindergarten, we are with you every step of the way.
Child-centered care
Every decision we make starts with what is best for the child in front of us.

Hands-on, self-directed activities that build independence and a love of learning.

Meet our founder
Sheela Perera
Founder & Head of School
Sheela Perera founded Future Kids LA with a single conviction: that every child deserves a joyful, nurturing start. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and Montessori methodology, she has dedicated her career to creating spaces where children thrive.
Sheela holds advanced credentials in early childhood education and Montessori pedagogy. She is personally present at our Torrance campus every day — greeting families, mentoring teachers, and making sure every child feels at home.
"I started Future Kids LA because I wanted a school I would be proud to send my own children to. That standard hasn't changed in over two decades."
